Operations Manager
Overview
The Assistant Project Manager assists with the planning, directing, and coordinating of activities for designated projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and budget. Responsibilities include reviewing project proposals or plans to determine timelines, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation. The role involves contract administration, billing, submittal processing, bid preparation, and filing, among other duties as required.
Proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail, and Database software is essential. Supervisory experience is preferred. The candidate must learn and understand safety hazards and operate work-related tools and equipment safely. The position requires work in a plant operations or construction jobsite setting.
Responsibilities

- Update and maintain the construction schedule
- Document daily activities and resolve on-site construction issues
- Prepare and oversee project closeout
- Assist other craft workers as needed
Qualifications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Good hearing and comprehension for communication
- Perform sedentary to heavy work
- Operate office equipment
- Climb and maintain balance on frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds
- Use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects regularly
- Prolonged bending, twisting, walking, reaching overhead, squatting, sitting, or standing
- Traverse uneven terrain, ladders, and multi-floor buildings without elevators
- Walk on uneven surfaces, muddy conditions, loose rock, or soft sand
- Exposure to weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Vision requirements include close and distance vision and focus adjustment
- Ability to drive cars/trucks as needed
Mental Requirements
- Effective communication with management and field workers
- Reading and writing comprehension for directions and safety policies
- Perform calculations and use math skills
- Work at various tempos and concentrate amid distractions
- Decision-making skills
- Attention to detail and ability to observe and remember details
