Staff Accountant

Our client is a retail company in the Baton Rouge area looking to add a talented Senior Accountant to their team. The Senior Accountant will report into the Accounting Manager and will offer a hybrid schedule after a training period. This person will be responsible for supporting general accounting responsibilities and processing full-cycle payroll.

• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and assist with the automation of the company's accounting processes
• Support the system implementation process to Net Suite
• Manage and prepare monthly income and balance sheet accounts and verify reports to ensure proper monthly financial statement preparation
• Process payroll for all retail location staff
• Prepare sales tax reports and ensure payments are completed in a timely manner
• Provide support for internal and external audit processes
• Other duties as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 4+ years of experience in general/corporate accounting, finance or related field
• Prior experience using Net Suite or Quickbooks software required
• Prior experience using ADP required
• Implementation experience required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using Excel (mid to high-level)
