Production Supervisor, Bathurst, New Brunswick

When you join our team as a Production Supervisor, you will have ahands-on leadership role where you’ll take charge of the day-to-day operations of the sawmill, yard and kilns, keeping production running safely and efficiently. You’ll work side by side with crews and other departments to keep lumber moving, solve problems quickly, and hit production targets.   • What You'll Do

  • Lead safe operations by setting the example and ensuring all safety policies, procedures and regulations are consistently followed
  • Drive production performance by improving productivity, reducing costs and maximizing lumber recovery and overall output
  • Ensure product quality by meeting manufacturing standards, product specifications and customer expectations throughout the process
  • Supervise and support the team by engaging production and maintenance employees, addressing performance gaps and fostering open, respectful communication
  • What You Offer

  • 3 years of sawmill, planer or related experience
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team enviornment
  • Analytical and results-driven mindset, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, leading confidently and working effectively under pressure
  • Bilingualism is preferred (candidates who are not currently bilingual must be willing and able to develop functional French language skills within a reasonable timeframe)
