About the Role

At Real Life Options, our Support Workers are at the heart of everything we do—delivering person‑centred, flexible, and responsive care to adults with learning disabilities across West Lothian. Whether supporting someone at home or out in the community, you’ll be helping them live life on their terms.

Our Support Workers provide a person‑centred approach to quality support, ensuring the service is flexible and adaptable to everyone’s needs. The role of a Support Worker is integral to the quality of support provision and can be rewarding and inspiring. You will support people to identify and work towards meaningful outcomes, participate in their community, and develop new and maintain existing relationships.

You will offer care and support to one adult with learning disabilities to ensure the running of their home, health and wellbeing. This will include personal care, medication administration, housework, shopping, cooking and most importantly maintaining and developing each person’s independent skills. Social support will be given daily and weekly to ensure involvement and independence within their community. Support plans and risk assessments are in place to ensure continued accurate support.

You will be required to liaise with medical professionals when necessary and may be asked to work across other services we provide across West Lothian.

An enhanced Adult PVG will be required for this role.
