Bathgate Early Years Centre ELC Practitioner

36 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year, Fixed Term until 9 August 2026

Bathgate Early Years Centre is seeking a nurturing and motivated full‑time ELC practitioner on a fixed‑term basis. The setting operates 50 weeks of the year, and the successful candidate will work flexibly across the opening hours of 7.45am to 6.15pm Monday to Thursday and 7.45am to 12.45pm Friday.

The successful candidate will bring a sound knowledge of early level play and development as well as a commitment to providing high quality learning experiences and interactions whilst effectively working as part of our nursery team to plan, evaluate and report on children’s progress.

• Educated to HNC/SVQ3 level in Early Education and Childcare or provide equivalent qualifications.
• Demonstrated breadth and depth of experience in an early year’s educational establishment.
• Registration with the SSSC within six months of commencement; must submit application within three months of start date.
• Required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer.
