Lead Provider

Overview

As the Lead Provider, NP, you will assist in the daily operations of the occupational health clinic at Bath Iron Works. Operating under the BIW Business Operating System (BOS), the Lead Provider, NP ensures compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards while coordinating with other key stakeholders to meet overall milestones.

• Diagnose, treat and medically manage work-related injuries and illnesses for Bath Iron Works employees. (Safety Leadership)
• Perform routine medical surveillance, physical examination, and case review for a variety of programs, i.e., exposures from asbestos, heavy metals, various environmental toxins, and noise; DOT;
  Fire Brigade and other programs. (Project Execution)
• Supervision of Nurse Practitioners. (Clinical Management)
• Provide day-to-day clinical guidance and support to other NPs. (Clinical Management)
• Delegate tasks appropriately based on skill, scope of practice, and workload. (Clinical Management)
• Ensure adequate staffing and coverage; assist with scheduling or shift planning. (Clinical Management)
• Work with Clinical Supervisor monitoring patient flow and triage efficiency. (Clinical Management)

• Licensed as a register professional nurse practitioner required.
• Masters Degree in Nursing required.
• Current State of Maine APN license required.

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a nurse practitioner in either family or adult practice required.
• Previous managerial experience required.
• Occupational health experience is highly desirable.
• Must be able to maneuver through the Shipyard.
• Must be able to participate in Sea Trials.
• 1st shift consisting of (5) days per week (Monday-Friday).
