Facilities Director

RSU1 seeks a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Director to oversee the planning, maintenance, safety, and efficient operations of all district buildings and grounds. We are looking for a collaborative, solutions-oriented leader who excels in facility management, capital planning, and creating safe, welcoming learning environments for students and staff. The position requires a combination of management-level administration and hands field work.

1. The district is preparing to build a new elementary school, and we are committed to sustainability, energy efficiency, and reducing our carbon footprint.

• Develop and implement short and long-term facilities plans, including deferred maintenance, capital projects, and sustainability initiatives.
• Oversee building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security, etc.) to ensure proper performance and code compliance.
• Manage and monitor facilities budgets, contracts, procurement, and vendor relationships.
• Promote safe, clean, and efficient learning environments.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate facilities and custodial staff.

This is a full-time, year-round position beginning on July 1, 2026. Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
