Staff Nurse - Charlotte Ward

Charlotte Ward are seeking a motivated and hardworking staff nurse to join our friendly and supportive team.

This is a 22‑bedged ward which specialises in gynaecology and female general surgery. The varied work and fast turnover of beds provide great opportunities to gain nursing experience and new skills.

You’ll be joining a hard‑working, passionate team that provides high standards of care.

We will ensure that your professional well-being is our priority, and we pride ourselves on providing teaching and training to maintain a competent nursing team.

To work according to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines as a named nurse or key worker (with facilitation) for a defined group of patients and take responsibility for:

• The assessment of care and health education needs;
• The development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care including discharge planning for each patient.

To gain experience and skills in:

• Clinical practice
• Facilitation and teaching
• Management (as appropriate)

To work in accordance with the RUH Nursing Strategy and contribute towards achieving its objectives and maintain effective communication.

To participate in Clinical Supervision as appropriate and to teach and act as a facilitator/mentor/preceptor/role model to less experienced staff.

• NMC registered
• Able to evidence thorough and up-to‑date knowledge of nursing theory and practice
• Preferably some experience in an acute setting
• Teaching and assessing
