Reservations and Events Assistant - Bath,
Responsibilities- Owning every sales and event enquiry from first hello to signed contract - with warmth, confidence, and purpose.
- Moving quickly and thoughtfully to convert enquiries into confirmed business. You know timing and follow-up matter.
- Creating bespoke proposals that reflect the guest's vision while showcasing what makes our hotel special.
- Upselling and cross-selling in a way that feels natural, helpful, and genuinely guest-focused.
- Confidently negotiating rates and packages to balance guest delight with strong commercial outcomes.
- Coordinating events from planning through to delivery, ensuring every detail is captured and communicated.
- Being the calm, capable point of contact guests trust - especially when plans evolve (as they often do).
- Adapting on the fly to changing needs, last-minute requests, or creative curveballs.
- Making sure contracts, function sheets, and billing are accurate, timely, and stress-free.
- Collaborating closely with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, and Housekeeping teams - because great events are a team sport.
- Communicating clearly, early, and often so everyone is set up for success.
- Translating guest expectations into operational reality, without losing the magic.
- Spotting potential issues before they arise and working together to solve them.
- Actively looking for opportunities to generate revenue - repeat business, referrals, creative packaging, and upselling.
- Tracking enquiries, conversions, and revenue with pride and accountability.
- Keeping our sales systems and CRM beautifully up to date (details matter here).
- Sharing market insights and ideas that help us evolve and grow.
- Previous experience in sales, events, or coordination within hospitality (boutique or luxury experience is a big plus).
- A proven ability to convert enquiries into confirmed business.
- Confidence working with high-end guests and bespoke requests.
- Familiarity with hotel sales systems, CRM tools, or event planning software is ideal.
