Job DescriptionShocker wick House is an historic building that has been lovingly converted into a care facility, offering nursing and residential care, convalescence, palliative, short stays for a minimum of one week and day care. Located on the outskirts of Bath’s World Heritage Site, the magnificent 17th‑century house is set in twelve acres of wheelchair friendly gardens with an orangery and vegetable plot.
All bedrooms have TV and telephone, and the home has secure entry/exit and a 24‑hour call system. Special diets are catered for, with oak‑panelled dining rooms, hot and cold options, snacks and drinks throughout the day and night. Residents also enjoy relaxation sessions, manicures, foot spas, arts and crafts and musical afternoons.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness within the home, working closely with housekeeping and maintenance staff.
- Vacuum, mop floors, polish and generally ensure the upkeep of all communal areas and residents’ bedrooms, keeping residents happy.
- Maintain housekeeping stocks for day‑to‑day use and raise any issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
You take pride in ensuring your work is always completed to a high standard, maintain an organised environment and can manage multiple requests are comfortable multitasking and, where necessary, working with other teams to keep residents happy in their home.
