We’re recruiting a Financial Accountant to join a well-established manufacturing business in Bath. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with accurate financial data, collaborating across teams, and building a strong technical foundation for their career.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial records, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and contributing valuable insight to the wider business. Working closely with qualified colleagues, you’ll gain exposure across a broad range of accounting activities, with clear development and progression opportunities. Support is available for candidates who wish to continue or complete their professional accountancy qualifications.

• Assist with monthly and annual financial statements (UK GAAP)
• Maintain the general ledger and perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Process staff expenses
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns
• Monitor capital expenditure projects against approved budgets
• Support accounts payable and payroll as required
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Provide audit support and respond to information requests
• Analyse financial performance and investigate variances
• Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and continuous improvement
