Industrial Placement – Building Services (MEP) – Bath

This exciting opportunity is for a current student to join our Building Services team in Bath. Industrial Placements (also known as Year in Industry) are typically 12‑month placements with flexible start dates.
About the ProjectsYou will work on some of the most technically challenging projects in our portfolio – recent examples include Manchester Science Park, Space Studios, and the new development at Bramley Moore Dock in Liverpool.
Responsibilities- Act as a mechanical designer in a large project team, or as a project engineer on smaller schemes.
- Undertake building services design and calculations using both software and manual verification.
- Prepare technical specifications and schedules, design development reports and innovative design solutions.
- Plan and manage input to CAD for production of design work.
- Attend and shadow meetings with clients, other professionals and suppliers where possible.
- Currently studying towards a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Electrical Engineering, Architecture & Environmental Engineering, or Engineering Design.
