Mechanical Fitter Bath - 6 Months - £320 per day
We are currently working with energy services company delivering HV energy infrastructure and plant installations across commercial, industrial, and utility sectors.
Due to increased project demand, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to support the installation of HV systems and associated mechanical plant on a 6 month contract based in Bath.
The Role
You will work on the mechanical installation of HV energy systems, plant rooms, and supporting infrastructure. The role is site-based and involves working alongside electrical HV teams, supervisors, and commissioning engineers to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical installation of HV energy systems and associated plant
- Installation of steelwork, containment supports, pipework, pumps, and mechanical assemblies
- Assisting with positioning, alignment, and securing of HV equipment (mechanical scope only)
- Working from mechanical drawings, method statements, and RAMS
- Supporting testing, commissioning, and handover activities
- Ensuring all work complies with health, safety, and site regulations
- Maintaining accurate site records and reports
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter within energy, utilities, or industrial environments
- Experience working on or around HV installations or substations (desirable)
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Strong safety awareness, particularly in HV environments
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- HV Safety Awareness, Confined Space, IPAF, or PASMA (advantageous)
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
