• Support pupils with SEMH needs to engage positively in learning.
• Create an organised, predictable, and supportive learning environment.
• Help pupils build confidence, resilience, and responsibility for their own progress.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents/carers to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
• Support pupils one‑to‑one or in small groups.
• Assist with behaviour management and encourage positive engagement.
• Help facilitate bespoke learning activities and classroom tasks.
• Model positive social interactions and support pupil emotional regulation.
• Contribute to a safe, consistent and encouraging educational environment.

• Experience working with children and young people (teaching assistant, mentoring, youth work or similar)
• Awareness of SEMH and SEN needs (desirable but not essential; training available)
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships
• Enthusiasm, flexibility and a positive approach to pupil support
• Many roles are open to candidates with lived experience or relevant support experience; we value your passion and commitment
• You may choose supply days or ongoing placements.
