Overview
Mulberry Park Educate Together Primary Academy is a single entry primary school situated on the new Mulberry Park housing development in Combe Down. We are seeking a part‑time dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team, working in KS2.
We value every child and work hard to create a nurturing environment that supports their learning and well‑being. We take a relational approach, valuing connection, understanding, and trust over punitive or behaviourist methods. Our school has higher than the national average levels of SEND needs and many children impacted by trauma or presenting with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
We are looking for someone who embodies compassion, resilience, and adaptability.

- Build positive, nurturing relationships with children to foster their development and well‑being.
- Work collaboratively with the dedicated team, taking initiative and contributing to the supportive school community.
- Proven experience supporting children in KS2.
- Strong understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and how these present in children.
- Experience and ability to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), on a 1:1 basis or within small group settings.
- Calm, flexible and resilient approach to supporting learners.
- Experience managing children with SEND, demonstrating effective strategies to support learning.
- Commitment to fostering trust, connection and understanding in interactions with children.
- Supportive and welcoming school community with a strong sense of belonging.
- Opportunities for professional development and training to enhance your skills.
- A challenging and deeply rewarding role where no two days are the same.

- Dedicated and supportive local governing body that values your input and contributions.
