Applications are invited for a permanent Consultant Radiologist to join a friendly, forward‑thinking team of 31 Consultant Radiologists at the Royal United Hospital Bath. The appointee will work alongside five other consultants with a thoracic subspecialty interest to help deliver the fast‑track cancer diagnosis service, reporting chest radiographs and 2‑week‑wait CTs, performing lung biopsies and preparing and presenting at the weekly lung cancer multidisciplinary meeting.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver fast‑track cancer diagnosis services, including reporting chest radiographs, 2‑week‑wait CTs, and related imaging.
  • Perform lung biopsies and prepare presentations for the weekly lung cancer multidisciplinary meeting.
  • Report CT and MRI for patients with suspected pulmonary hypertension and participate in the weekly PH MDT.
  • Contribute to the cardiac radiology service, including cardiac CT and related studies (CT coronary angiography, aortic valve calcium scoring, TAVI planning scans, etc.).
  • Participate in evening, weekend and on‑call rota.
  • Use Siemens Drive and Siemens Edge CT scanners, including FFRct post‑processing analysis as part of the NHSE Med Tech mandate.
Qualifications
  • Consultant Radiologist with specialist interest in Cardiothoracic imaging (10 PAs).
  • Strong cross‑sectional imaging skills applicable to a general department.
  • Full‑time commitment; part‑time applicants are encouraged to apply.
