Building Safety Team Leader

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association with operations across the South West, who are recruiting for a Building Safety Lead on a permanent basis.

The position is due to start immediately and the salary on offer for the role is £41,701.

The ideal candidate will be able to commute across the South West to visit high risk buildings and have good understanding of both Building and Fire safety systems.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Maintaining building safety cases and contributing to High Risk Building change control, reviewing works, identifying defects, and advising on safe completion.
• Acting as the main contact for building safety for residents, stakeholders, and third-party owners, including attending meetings and supporting customer groups
• Ensuring fire safety measures and controls operated effectively using internal systems
• Liaising with the Servicing Compliance Team to ensure monitoring checks were completed and reported to the Director and duty holder
• Checking the life safety equipment in line with the Fire Safety Act and Building Safety Act
• Delivering building safety training and familiarisation for colleagues and residents, including fire safety documentation and front-line communication systems
