Nursery Practitioner – Full Time

Location:

Bath, Somerset
Salary:
Up to £27,995 per annum

Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7:30am – 6:30pm)

Contract:

Permanent

A private day nursery in Bath is seeking enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated Nursery Practitioners to join its friendly and professional team. The nursery provides high-quality childcare and early years education for children aged 0–5 years, within a supportive and well-resourced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS

• Observe, assess, and record children’s learning and development

• Create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment

• Promote independence, positive behaviour, and emotional wellbeing

Health, Safety and Safeguarding

• Ensure children are safe, supervised, and supported at all times

• Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures

• Maintain a clean and safe environment

• Administer first aid and accurately record incidents

Teamwork and Professional Practice

• Work collaboratively with colleagues

• Attend staff meetings, training, and supervisions

• Adhere to nursery policies including confidentiality, equality, and inclusion

• Engage in continuous professional development

Person Specification

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)

• A genuine passion for working with children aged 0–5

• Good understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements

• Positive, caring, and proactive approach
