Food Service Worker

Job Summary

Chartwells K12 is hiring a full‑time and part‑time Food Service Worker. The position is located at South Panola School District, 209 Boothe Street, Batesville, MS 38606.

Fixed Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour. Internal employee referral bonus available.

• Prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Previous related experience is preferred but not required. Position requires lifting.
