Job Summary
The Avionics (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). as part of an assigned hangar team comprised of AMTs, ATs, Interiors, and Quality Inspectors in support of aircraft maintenance projects. The AT‑lead performs installation, inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of avionics systems. The AT‑lead supervises assigned ATs, providing guidance and support while also performing avionics tasks.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Accomplishes all work while following company and industry safety standards while maintaining the highest level of quality.
- Adheres to all FAA regulations, the Repair Station Quality Control Manual (RSQCM), and all other approved data.
- Performs complex avionics maintenance, troubleshooting and/or repairs needed for Falcon Jet aircraft as identified in the work order.
- Manages all avionics projects on assigned aircraft.
- Performs complex wiring installations, termination of wiring bundles, ring out of wire harnesses, and power checks.
- Capable of performing aircraft function testing for avionics ATA systems.
- Understands the principles of AC/DC functionality.
- Can read and interpret wiring schematics and blueprints.
- Assists other disciplines with troubleshooting and other needs as required.
- Promotes a positive work environment while maintaining utmost professionalism at all times.
- Trains and mentors other avionics technicians.
- Ensures all documents are signed off completely, properly, and in a timely manner in accordance with the RSQCM.
- Works assigned shift and unscheduled overtime as needed or requested.
- Has ability to travel and perform AOG maintenance.
- Communicates directly with customers and vendors regularly.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area at all times.
- Adheres to company dress standards.
- Performs all other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and company.
- High school graduate or equivalent with additional courses in aircraft maintenance in recognized service or technical school programs.
- 5+ years Falcon avionics experience preferred.
- Entry‑level supervisory training or equivalent experience required.
- Falcon approved training completed on a minimum of two Falcon models.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Advanced skill with Corridor, Field 6, Honeywell and Collins Aerospace manuals.
- Successful completion of all AT‑3 assigned tasks or equivalent experience.
- Must have required tools (see approved minimum tool list).
- Works in a climate‑controlled hangar (heated and cooled).
- Occasionally works outside on the tarmac in atmospheric weather conditions.
- Ability to wear and utilize personal protective equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Comfortable in tightly enclosed areas, heights involving lifts and ladders, as well as flying.
- Requires the ability to perform all physical functions of the job (hear, stand, kneel, walk, etc.).
