WhatWill You Be Doing?
As a Security Officer II, you will serve as the frontline ambassador of safety for our Reno campus, supporting both office and operational teams. You’ll combine vigilance, professionalism, and customer service to ensure a secure workplace for employees, visitors, and partners.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain the physical security of personnel and property by enforcing all security directives and regulations
- Serve as the first point of contact for emergencies and security incidents, ensuring timely response and proper escalation
- Monitor and operate CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and alarm systems
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols on foot and by vehicle
- Prevent unauthorized access and safeguard company assets from loss, damage, or theft
- Issue badges and manage access credentials for employees and visitors
- Maintain visitor logs, complete incident reports, and document all shift activity in Daily Activity Logs
- Troubleshoot routine security system issues and escalates when necessary
- Coordinate with third‑party alarm monitoring providers to resolve alarm incidents
- Provide escorts, directions, and assistance to employees and guests
- Interact professionally with employees, tenants, auditors, and external partners

Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise for the job:Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–4 years of relevant security experience
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to security operations
- Experience operating CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and intrusion detection systems
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass required background investigation
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Conduct foot patrols and vehicle patrols as required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- CPR / First Aid / AED certification
