Our client, a leading national government research facility, is seeking an NX Design Engineer for a one-year contract role. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Siemens NX and have experience creating complex 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings in a fast-paced research and development environment.

• 30-35/hr pay rate.

• Develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using Siemens NX for mechanical components and systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to support design, prototyping, and testing efforts.
• Review and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering documentation.
• Apply design standards, tolerances, and best practices to ensure manufacturability and functionality.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input to improve efficiency, performance, and accuracy.
• Support revisions and updates to existing designs as required.
• Maintain proper documentation and version control for all CAD models and related files.

• Proficiency in Siemens NX for 3D modeling, assemblies, and drafting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, or related field preferred.
• Experience with design for manufacturing, prototyping, and assembly processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
