The Company is seeking a VP of Business Development to lead the expansion of its white label and private label business. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to grow these offerings into new subject areas and will be instrumental in identifying and pursuing new publisher and curriculum partners. This role is pivotal in driving business growth and will also have a significant impact on shaping the company's culture.
The VP will serve as the primary business development and sales lead, with a focus on proactively prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing new deals, as well as nurturing existing customer relationships. The ideal candidate for the VP of Business Development position at the company will have a comprehensive knowledge of the education publishing industry, including key decision-makers, and a proven track record in successfully prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals.
Experience in working with C‑suite executives at major publishing companies and curriculum providers is essential. The role requires a candidate with a strong entrepreneurial mindset, adept at driving growth and innovation, and the ability to build and nurture long‑term strategic partnerships. Familiarity with the operational aspects of custom product procurement, manufacturing, and fulfillment is also necessary. The VP will be expected to work closely with cross‑functional teams, including operations, product, and marketing, to ensure the successful delivery and support of white label customers.
