Job Brief
A GR Specialist (Government Relations Specialist) job is to develop, implement, and manage a company's social, ethical, and environmental programs and initiatives. This includes working with internal and external stakeholders, coordinating projects like volunteering and fundraising, and communicating the company's CSR efforts internally and externally.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and manage GR programs:
Create and implement strategies aligned with the company's goals, focusing on areas like the environment, community, workplace, and marketplace. - Coordinate initiatives:
Oversee projects such as employee volunteering, charitable partnerships, and community engagement activities. - Liaise with stakeholders:
Collaborate with internal departments (HR, marketing, etc.) and external partners (charities, NGOs, community groups). - Manage communications:
Develop and execute GR communications strategies, create content, and promote awareness of the company's initiatives both internally and externally. - Track and report impact:
Measure, monitor, and report on the social value and impact of GR activities to senior management and other stakeholders. - Compliance:
Stay informed about relevant legislation and regulations to ensure GR activities are compliant and align with the company's sustainability strategy. - Promote culture:
Educate employees through workshops and training, and champion best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as political science, public policy, public administration, law, or economics is usually required.
- Experience in Corporate Communications in several industries in Batam for at least 3 years.
- Good communication skills and engagement with the community.
- Accustomed to handling matters related to conflict crisis management.
- Able to analyze the company potential and impact of implementing proposed Government Relations activities.
