Are you passionate about precision machining and leadership? PT. SPM Surface Products is seeking a dedicated CNC Machining Manager to lead a talented team of machining workers. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that machining processes, including CNC turning, milling, and multitask operations, run smoothly and comply with company policies, procedures, norms, and directions.

You will work both in an office and manufacturing shop-floor environment.

Domestic relocation is not available for this position.

• Effectively and efficiently manage the machining department in line with specifications, meeting quality and delivery expectations, minimizing costs where possible and ensure the required best working practices are maintained at all times
• Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required.
• Manage, coach and develop a high performing machining team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.
• Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
• Manage and lead the machining team, ensuring adequate staffing levels, recruitment, training, development, appraisal, attendance, disciplinary issues and daily supervision to maximize efficient productivity
• Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
• Prepare the annual Machining budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with legal standards. Manage the budget from identification to completion of projects.
• Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards required.
• Support, comply and ensure complicity with Environmental Health & Safety regulations, Quality and standards, and all other company policies and procedures.

• Budgeting: Knowledge of organization's budget process; ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget.
• Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
• Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
• Plant Facilities Management: Knowledge of processes, methodologies and techniques used to manage plant facilities; ability to handle the full spectrum of activities for managing and maintaining physical facilities and infrastructure.
• Supplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.

• A minimum diploma in engineering with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role in machining, including CNC turning operations, milling operations, and multitask operations.
• Proficiency in speaking and writing in English, as well as operating Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment.
