Maintenance Engineer

Our Batam, Indonesia facility specializes in lighting and detection product technologies—including Specialty Lamps, IPL Lamps, Trigger Coils, Infra‑Red Detectors, Sensor Modules and Pyro‑electric Ceramic Wafers—and has been manufacturing Thermopile Sensors, Thermopile Modules, CCD Sensors and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies since September 1994.

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer who will be responsible for driving maintenance excellence and ensuring all machinery performs reliably and meets operational specifications.

• Develop new equipment or processes as required, including researching advanced technologies to enhance productivity and quality.
• Plan, schedule, and manage preventive maintenance, repairs, and servicing activities for all equipment.
• Ensure equipment performance meets required specifications and operational standards.
• Manage maintenance tools, equipment, and spare part inventories to ensure readiness and availability.
• Develop, maintain, and update maintenance procedures, work instructions, and machine performance records.
• Coordinate the procurement, testing, installation, and commissioning of specialized components, fixtures, and equipment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders for equipment planning, installation, relocation, and layout improvements.
• Lead and facilitate project meetings, ensuring timelines, goals, and deliverables are achieved through effective project management.
• Work closely with service vendors and equipment owners to support equipment acquisition, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and modification activities.
• Ensure full compliance with all quality, environmental, health, and safety procedures within assigned areas.

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in maintenance engineering or facility engineering roles.
• Experience or knowledge in Project Management and Lean Six Sigma is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Maintenance Management Systems and Spare Part Management Systems.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 requirements related to equipment and maintenance.
• Good communication skills and proficiency in English (spoken and written).
