Job Overview
The Production Engineer (HVAC Discipline) applies conceptual knowledge of production engineering and works under moderate guidance from leadership. Responsible for addressing a variety of straightforward engineering challenges and proposing solutions by following standard company and client procedures. The role requires the ability to understand critical business drivers and to use technical expertise, sound judgment, and established precedents to evaluate and resolve issues effectively.
Responsibilities- Review project scope of work, schedules, and specifications; understand the requirements and deliverables.
- Prepare Work Package for work execution.
- Review the fabrication schedule and suggest corrections to the Planning Team and understand project critical path.
- Ensure materials, fabrications and installations are in accordance with the specifications and drawings.
- Review weekly material reports and raises problems with material delivery.
- Initiate site/technical queries to resolve fabrication/construction issues.
- Provide field guidance as necessary and ensure compliance with Project and Company specification.
- Attend production meetings and report concerns.
- Identify any changes or additional work from the original scope and initiate change order as required.
- Review weekly fabrication progress and monitor production man-hours and productivity.
- Review two to four weeks look ahead plans and identify the constraints (material / drawings and actual construction condition).
- Liaise with Detailing and construction engineer to ensure the drawing and procedures are issued timely / all parties understand any change.
- Liaise with shop/erection supervision to ensure compliance with the project plan.
- Review drawings for creating fabrication sequence/constructability and identify any special items / subcontract requirements.
- Provide Method Statement for any special/specific work as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree S1/D4 in Mechanical.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in oil & gas and/or renewable energy fabrication and construction projects in major contractor or consultant.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Oil & Gas onshore / offshore construction industry.
- Good knowledge of industry code and standards and best practices related to production processes and facilities project execution.
- Relevant training and/or certifications in Project Execution.
- Proven experience in the EPCI industry or a similar Engineering field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
- Understand the strategy to delivering discipline-level fabrication efforts for complex projects, with multinational project team and customer is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
