Electrical System Management- Assist in the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems, including power distribution units (PDUs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generators, and switch gear.
- Ensure all electrical infrastructure operates efficiently, with minimal downtime, and adheres to established performance standards.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of electrical safety policies and best practices.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring all electrical equipment and systems are serviced according to company and manufacturer standards.
- Assist in coordinating with vendors and contractors during electrical maintenance and upgrade projects, ensuring minimal disruption to data centre operations.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements or upgrades as necessary.
- Provide hands‑on technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal impact on data centre operations.
- Collaborate with other engineering and operations teams to ensure integrated and efficient system performance.
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and records to support operational continuity and compliance requirements.
- Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Participate in safety audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety protocols within the data centre.
- Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and the Electrical Engineering Manager to ensure seamless 24/7 operations.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance personal and team capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Fluent in English.
- Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within a data centre or critical infrastructure environment.
- Strong knowledge of data centre electrical infrastructure, including power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and switch gear.
- Proven problem‑solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve complex electrical challenges.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
- Relevant certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent are a plus.
- 24/7 operational environment, requiring flexibility and the ability to respond to emergencies promptly.
