Position: Lecturer (Dosen Homebase/Tetap) - Visual Communication Design (DKV)

Institut Teknologi Batam (ITEBA) is a private higher education institution located in Batam, Riau Islands Province, Indonesia. Established through a collaboration between the Vitka Foundation and Institut Teknologi Bandung, ITEBA is authorized under KEMENRISTEKDIKTI Decree No. 601/KPT/I/2017. The university offers academic and professional education with a focus on strengthening human resources in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). It comprises two faculties: the Faculty of Industrial Technology, offering Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management programs, and the Faculty of Information Technology, which includes Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Visual Communication Design, and Mathematics programs.

Role Description

This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Lecturer in Visual Communication Design (DKV) at Institut Teknologi Batam. The Lecturer will be responsible for preparing and delivering lectures, developing course materials, evaluating student performance, and providing academic guidance. Additional duties may include conducting research, participating in faculty development programs, and contributing to curriculum development to enhance the quality of education.

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of Visual Communication Design concepts, including design principles, 3D Modelling, Animation, typography, color theory, and digital tools.
  • Proficiency in project‑based teaching, creative problem‑solving, and encouraging innovative thinking in students.
  • Research and analytical skills to contribute to academic research and discipline‑based studies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to faculty development programs and institutional goals.
  • Master’s degree in Visual Communication Design or a closely related field (Ph.D. preferred).
  • Experience in teaching, curriculum development, and research in higher education is an advantage.
