Job SummaryThe Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the timely and efficient flow of raw materials into high‑quality finished products and for ensuring that equipment remains in good repair and fully operational.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain efficient and timely flow of all raw materials received and finished products shipped.
- Oversee the equipment used to process raw and finished materials, ensuring it is kept in good working order.
- Effectively manage all instances of equipment breakdowns and coordinate with Maintenance to ensure needed repairs are completed in a timely manner.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts in all areas of responsibility.
- Achieve individual and department targets, goals, and objectives.
- Observe all company safety rules and regulations, recognize safety as the top priority, and conduct or participate in regularly scheduled safety meetings with plant staff.
- Assist in investigating accidents that occur within jurisdiction and make recommendations to the Plant Safety Committee.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience.
- 2–3 years of prior work experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Technical school certificate or Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Labor relations background with experience in leadership and training.
- Good understanding of production maintenance and repair protocols.
