This role is the Sr. Construction Project Manager for the Construction Projects team in Bastrop, TX, focusing on design, build, and activation of infrastructure, facilities improvements, and large capital projects. Based in Bastrop, TX (Austin area).

• Oversee and own the full lifecycle of multidisciplinary construction projects to achieve on-time, under-budget delivery with customer satisfaction. Includes: providing guidance on preliminary scope and ROM costs; gathering proposals from architects, engineers, vendors, and contractors; evaluating bids; reviewing proposals for accuracy and cost-saving opportunities; developing final project cost and schedule; implementing controls to track cost, schedule, and scope; writing and managing construction contracts through close-out;
  
  facilitating regulatory approvals; resolving field design and construction issues in real time; managing site safety and environmental requirements for contractors; tracking and approving invoicing; coordinating with end users and facilities teams for building operations and maintenance; managing night shifts/early morning contractors; handling ad-hoc new projects; and maintaining project tools, documentation, and folder systems; interacting with contractors, fabricators, and internal customers.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management, or 4+ years of experience in construction management
• 8+ years of professional experience in engineering, architecture, or construction management

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations; ability to mark up and highlight coordination items
• Ability to operate basic earthmoving equipment
• Proficiency with GPS, Total Stations, AutoCAD, Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat, and project management software
• Experience with major construction project management including estimating, cost control, schedule, and contractor management
• Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects with minimal guidance and in a fast-paced environment
• Strong independent and teamwork skills, initiative, and effective communication
• Familiarity with jurisdictional permitting and environmental agency processes; knowledge of vendor interactions across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, piping, geotechnical, and surveying
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

• Ability to work at elevated heights and in outdoor environments (heat, cold, rain, snow)
• Physical ability to stand, lift, and carry moderately heavy materials or equipment (up to 25 lbs unassisted)
• Exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed; on-call support for emergencies; travel up to 15%
• Compliance with ITAR/U.S. export regulations as applicable
