Key ResponsibilitiesThis role is a hybrid position combining both office-based project management and on-site field service responsibilities, with an approximate 60/40 split between the two functions.
In-Office Duties (Project Management) – Approx. 60% of Time
When not traveling to project sites, the Specialist will work from the office, performing critical project oversight functions, including:
- Schedule Management:
Developing and monitoring project timelines and ensuring on-time delivery. - Cost Management:
Tracking project expenses, managing budgets, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. - Quality Management:
Reviewing manufacturing specifications, verifying technical documentation, and coordinating factory quality checks.
On-Site Duties (Field Supervisor) – Approx. 40% of Time
The Specialist will be required to travel to customer sites during critical project phases, acting as the primary Field Technician and Supervisor. On-site duties include:
- Installation Start/Completion:
Supervising the initiation and close-out of the electrical installation. - Testing & Commissioning:
Leading all pre-energization inspections, testing procedures, and site acceptance tests (SAT). - Energization Witness:
Representing the company during the final power-up and energization process. - Educate installation crews on the proper installation methods for electrical switch gear and inspect completed work to ensure compliance with our standards.
- Provide comprehensive training to end-users on how to properly operate and maintain our equipment.
- Conduct thorough inspections upon installation completion, including pre and post-energization checks and supervision of the energization process.
- Perform on-site troubleshooting for any operational issues that may arise after installation or during operation.
Required
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical field.
- A college degree or equivalent educational background.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and diagrams (e.g., schematics, single-line, diagrams).
- Competency in using MS-Office for creating reports and other documentation.
- The ability and willingness to travel frequently, including to out-of-state locations.
Preferred
- Previous experience with an electrical switch gear manufacturer or breaker vendor in a similar industry.
- Proficiency in Spanish or Korean is a plus.
- Experience operating electrical test equipment or holding a NETA certification.
- Experience with and an understanding of Electrical Maintenance Programs as outlined in NFPA 70B.
