HGV Class 2 Driver​/Van Driver

Pay Rate: £38,209.76 plus a discretionary performance based annual bonus of £1500
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, 48 hours per week, 5.30am to 3.30pm
Location: Basingstoke, RG21 6XQ

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a HGV Class 2 Driver / Van Driver to play a vital role in our distribution service.

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• This role you will be working between a 26T Lorry and a Van. One week Lorry and one week Van.
• Experience in using a Moffett desirable but not essential - Training will be given
• Delivering to customers, depending on customer location
• Drops vary between 2-6 per day
• Responsibility for efficient transportation and delivery of products to customers using a commercial motor vehicle meeting company, customer and legislative requirements
• Manual Handling will be required when driving the Van
• Working in a team environment
• Working in a safe manner
• Processing paperwork
• Working within a physically demanding environment
• Operating mechanical handling equipment
• Transportation and delivery of products
• Complying with local legislative requirements and company policies and procedures
• Representing DHL in a professional manner to customers and other road users
• Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

• Hold a valid HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card and a Car/Van Driving Licence (B)
