Job Purpose

Business Development role focused in the Enterprise Storage and Platform Market responsible for translating vendor/technology growth plans internally/externally and to drive them in specific strategic segments. Aligned with marketing on MDF and with the wider sales organization on specialized opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Grow profitable market share by executing the Business Unit strategy in full alignment under clear managerial direction.
  • Negotiate key tenders and large deals with complete knowledge of all job functions and broad industry best practices, techniques and standards.
  • Optimize results by driving sales out of agreed vendor portfolio including new vendor identification, onboarding and other business development initiatives.
  • Demonstrate a solid customer engagement strategy including multiple parties and levels that drives successful business outcomes.
  • Apply TD SYNNEX resources to clearly assist customers in meeting their strategic objectives.
  • Take solution and service offerings to market including TaaS.
  • Own quarterly vendor business planning and execution.
  • Drive overall vendor management, create customer unique selling propositions that protect margin integrity and promote long‑term value‑based customer engagement.
  • Enable and help the sales teams to win and grow share of wallet and market share.
  • Maintain strong relationship and engagement with vendors and stakeholders to ensure TD SYNNEX is seen as the “Trusted Advisor.”
  • Ensure ongoing use of CRM tools to maintain best‑in‑class business continuity.
  • Have full knowledge of assigned vendor’s product / service line.
  • Develop tailored customer value propositions against clear understanding of customer business requirements.

Knowledge Skills And Experience

  • Good emotional intelligence.

  • Skilled multi‑level relationship builder.
  • High energy and motivation.
  • 4+ years of experience in the IT industry with channel and/or vendor at a business development level, ideally from a sales or product marketing background.
  • 4+ years of experience in enterprise storage, enterprise platforms, enterprise channel markets.
  • Complete knowledge of all job functions and the broad industry best practices, techniques and standards.
  • Strong orientation towards and experience in services and solution selling.
  • Strategic planning and business case development.
  • Experience of working within a matrix structure.
  • Proven ability to self‑manage in an external environment.
  • Business planning experience with strong operational cadence.
