Responsibilities- Planning and implementing strategies aimed at maximising sales through both direct and indirect channels.
- Developing the customer base through regular contact on a strategic/operational level.
- Dealing with day‑to‑day queries of a technical, commercial or other nature where necessary, in conjunction with a Customer Services Advisor.
- Identifying potential customers, qualifying and developing them to achieve sales in line with company strategy.
- Acting as a liaison between the customer and internal departments when necessary.
- Scheduling and attending customer sales visits, including annual strategic reviews.
- Producing reports and other documents as deemed necessary.
- Driving sales in the region of France and other southern Europe countries, with travel throughout this region expected.
- Discovering and exploring new business opportunities (NBOs) in the territory.
- Screening the territory for leads and potential business prospects.
- Conducting research to identify new markets and customer needs.
- Generating leads through cold calling prospective customers.
- Arranging business meetings with prospective clients.
- Developing and nurturing relationships with key customer accounts.
- Assessing customers’ needs and the company’s ability to meet those needs.
- Building long‑term relationships with new customers.
- Following up with new leads and referrals generated from the sales team.
- Preparing status reports on goals.
- Using Salesforce to manage the whole interaction.
- Experience in business development and sales within a technical product environment.
- Strong understanding of direct and indirect selling channels.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to assess market needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory.
