Role overviewWe are seeking an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to play a vital role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. There are opportunities for career development; this role is suitable for those motivated by progression and developing their career.
Responsibilities- Provide a knowledgeable and seamless customer experience for all customers that enter the store.
- Maintain clean and tidy stock standards on the shop floor for customers at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales and KPI targets through knowledge of current trends, in-store promotions and evolving store processes.
- Drive sales, ensuring targets are achieved and where possible exceeded.
- Utilise in-store devices to offer the full product range and provide alternatives and upsell where appropriate.
- Replenish stock levels when needed and ensure the full-size range is on the shop floor where possible.
- Ensure products are priced correctly.
- Deputise for other staff, work within departments, or carry out other duties as required.
- Always represent JD Sports in a professional manner and conduct work safely and responsibly.
- Provide exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Actively drive sales to help the store meet and exceed financial goals.
- Ensure timely and accurate replenishment of stock on the shop floor to maintain product availability.
- A positive attitude toward a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment.
- Ability to view challenges as opportunities to develop personally and professionally.
- Confident interpersonal and communication skills; thrives in social situations through engagement with customers.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on store needs.
