QA Specialist / Manager
We are looking for a detail-orientated professional to join our Bond team, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all customs and excise data, documentation, and declarations before goods enter the warehouse. This role is key to supporting regulatory compliance, maintaining strong relationships with clearance agents, and managing discrepancies and duty-suspended movements in line with HMRC requirements and internal procedures.
Role Responsibilities Customs- Perform routine checks to ensure the accuracy of integrity of all Customs Compliance data, including ABV, fiscal codes, tariff codes, commodity codes, units of volume and weight, item categories, and data related to 3 rd party Public Bond
- Support the compliance team by carrying out daily CDS checks the integrity and accuracy of inbound Customs data before orders are received into the Customs warehouse
- Ensure all Customs frontier declarations are cleared prior to the arrival of the orders into the warehouse and that the correct Customs procedure has been applied to the entry
- Manage relationships with clearance agents to ensure the accuracy of import declarations and monitor services levels upon receipt
- Ensure all documentation checks are made prior to the arrival of goods into the warehouse, with any errors corrected in a timely manner or escalated to HMRC for resolution where required
- Ensure all discrepancies are addressed promptly in line with Customs guidelines and SOP’s, with all relevant documentation and correspondence accurately retained for audit purposes
- Ensure all duty-suspended receipts from other UK warehouses are accurately checked and received, with any discrepancies promptly reported to the EMCS team
- Previous experience with NAV Dynamics and Descartes systems is preferred but not necessary, as full training will be provided
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- This is a key role within the business, requiring a consistently high level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy
- You will be expected to work proactively, manage competing priorities, and support operational efficiency across the team
