Manufacturing Operator Night shift

Location:

Basingstoke

Shifts:

Monday to Friday, 22:00 - 06:00
Pay: £13.79 per hour plus 30% shift allowance

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Operator to join our dynamic night shift team in Basingstoke. This role is key to ensuring production processes are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where teamwork, communication, and precision are essential to meeting daily production and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities

Follow Manufacturing SOPs and Work Instruction Documents accurately
Complete production floor paperwork in line with Quality System requirements
Record key production data (e.g., weight, time, packaging details)
Start, stop, and monitor conveyor systems
Assist with equipment validation activities
Set up materials according to work orders and verify required quantities
Inspect materials, products, and containers during production and packaging
Fill, weigh, seal, label, and pack products as required
Perform line clearance activities, including reconciliation and disposal of materials
Clean and sanitise work areas and equipment
Adhere strictly to ISO and cGMP Quality System regulations
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and product quality

What We're Looking For

Education:

Secondary Education, Advanced Certificate, or equivalent

Experience:

Previous experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment (through work or education)
Skills & Abilities:

Strong documentation skills with a focus on GMP and quality compliance
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to use manufacturing systems such as QAD and AGILE
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and diagram-based instructions
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based environment
Able to prioritise tasks and adapt to changing production demands
Willing to wear required PPE (e.g., safety glasses; no makeup/jewellery policy)
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted (infrequently)
Able to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks
