Customer Field Technician

Overview

FJA are looking to recruit a Customer Side Leakage Technician to detect, locate and report both visible and hidden leaks CSL/Vacant household distribution network. This position is full-time role and will cover Basingstoke area.

You will be working outside, using both traditional and electronic leak detection equipment to locate water main fittings & taking noise samples using electronic leak detection equipment (for which full training will be provided).

The tasks included will be as follows:

• Install flow loggers onto customers property
• Confirm CSL fixtures
• Customer appointment liaison
• Prove customer supplies.
• Site survey investigation
• Read metering
• Investigate CSL/vacant/void properties
• Confirm faulty metering

• You will enjoy working outdoors, as most of your work is conducted outside (rain or shine)
• A good standard of basic maths and English
• Basic IT skills
• Willing to work nights, weekends and overtime as required
• Good communication skills
• Happy working alone and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence

Please note drugs and alcohol testing is undertaken for this role

This role may involve:

• Moving heavy items including heavy inspection chamber covers
• Working in all weather conditions (this could include night work also)
