QA Engineer; Contractor

• Perform manual or exploratory testing as required, to identify defects and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Document defects, collaborate with development teams for resolutions, and advocate for continuous product improvement.
• Validate and scrutinise requirements to identify potential gaps, edge cases and level of testability of proposed solutions.
• Ability to work with or previous experience of Content Management System (CMS).
• Create supporting test documentation for a project with support from others - e.g. Test Plans, Test Summary Reports etc.
• Contribute to the planning and prioritisation of testing on a project.
• Can estimate testing tasks within a project.
• Proficiency in assessing and highlighting risk in order to mitigate issues.
• Ownership of QA processes and best practice.

Outside IR35

Day rate: £250 - £350 per day

• Ability to quickly understand a digital product, its features and functionality.
• Developing and executing test scenarios for web or mobile applications.
• Understanding and analysing requirements.
• Defect diagnosis, reporting and tracking.
• Maintaining knowledge of core systems and processes.
• Industry standard testing process and best practices, with ISTQB foundation certification.

• Software testing techniques, testing tools, incident/defect tracking systems and other test-support tools.
• Development methodologies such as Agile / Waterfall.
• API understanding, and experience with tools such as Charles Proxy and Postman.
• UI automated testing tools (e.g. Cypress, Maestro).
• JIRA / Confluence.
