Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – Basingstoke Hospital, Basingstoke. Position:
Domestic Assistant, Band 2, Contract Permanent, Full time (37.5 hours per week, various shifts). Salary: £25,272 per annum (pro rata). Closing date: 24/03/2026.

Domestic staff provide a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff and visitors and help to reduce the spread of Health Care Acquired Infections. This role will involve general cleaning in both clinical and non-clinical areas.

• High dusting walls, ceilings, curtains rails, doors
• Damp dusting furniture, fittings, ledges and paintwork
• Vacuuming floors daily
• Deep Cleaning of areas and equipment

• Good general education at GCSE level or equivalent
• Customer care training

• Knowledge of manual handling and health and safety regulations
• Experience of working in a healthcare environment

• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, ward staff and Domestic team.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
