Job summary: This part‑time, fixed‑term (12 months) role will support the Trust’s occupational health service, providing evidence‑based case management, health surveillance and staff wellbeing support across multiple sites in Winchester, Basingstoke and Andover.
Key responsibilities- Carry out occupational health assessments, develop action plans and deliver clear written and verbal advice to staff and managers.
- Manage health surveillance programmes and lead training where required.
- Perform clinical duties including venepuncture, vaccinations, spirometry and audiometry.
- Work autonomously, liaising closely with a multidisciplinary team to promote high‑quality service delivery.
- Provide sensitive support to potentially distressed clients (e.g., those experiencing stress or redeployment).
- Travel between the Trust’s sites and off‑site locations as needed.
- NMC registration, current and part 1.
- Specialist practitioner qualification in occupational health (certificate, diploma or degree) or equivalent knowledge and skill.
- Previous occupational health experience, including two years post‑registration.
- Appropriate clinical skill set for routine occupational health practice.
- Health promotion or well‑being programme experience.
- Experience in case management and health surveillance.
- Knowledge of current occupational health trends and regulatory emphasis.
- Strong report‑writing and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, listening and influencing abilities.
- Computer literacy and competence with complex IT systems for clinical notes and audits.
- Awareness of health‑promotion topics, confidentiality, data protection, disability discrimination, and health‑and‑safety legislation.
- Willingness to travel between sites.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to change.
- Reliable, flexible, approachable, and dependable.
Salary: £38,682 – £46,580 pa (pro‑rated, part‑time)
Contract: Fixed‑term (12 months)
Working pattern: Part‑time, flexible; hybrid flexible working available
