Finance Business Partner

Chalk Hill Group are delighted to be supporting a growing Services business, based in Basingstoke, in their search for a proactive and commercially focused Finance Business Partner to support key stakeholders across the organisation. This is a contract position for 9 months to support some critical changes in the team.

The role goes beyond traditional reporting - you will act as a trusted advisor, translating financial information into meaningful insight that drives performance, efficiency, and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders and operational teams to support decision-making and strategic planning
• Provide timely, accurate financial insight, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Challenge assumptions and influence stakeholders to improve financial and operational performance
• Develop financial models and business cases for new initiatives, investments, and pricing decisions
• Support month-end processes and ensure financial data integrity
• Identify risks and opportunities, recommending actions to optimise profitability and cash flow
• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reporting

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a Commercial Finance/Finance Business Partnering role, ideally within a services environment
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
• Excellent communication skills - able to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial systems and BI tools desirable
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving organisation
