JSS Tax are hiring for an Indirect Tax Manager for a leading services business based near to Basingstoke (but supporting flexible/hybrid working arrangements).

This is a full-time role paying circa £65k-£80k plus bonus and benefits package.

Reporting to the Head of Tax, the Indirect Tax Manager is tasked with manage the organisation’s indirect tax obligations. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance, advising the business on indirect tax matters, and supporting strategic decision-making across multiple jurisdictions where applicable.

• Manage all aspects of indirect taxation, including VAT and other indirect taxes
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation, review, and submission of indirect tax returns
• Monitor changes in indirect tax legislation and assess the impact on the business
• Provide practical tax advice to internal stakeholders on transactions, projects, and business initiatives
• Lead and support indirect tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as required
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, risk mitigation, and tax efficiency
• Support systems, controls, and documentation relating to indirect tax compliance
• Manage and mentor junior team members or work with external advisors where relevant

The Head of Tax is looking for someone with strong UK VAT / indirect tax experience and someone comfortable getting involved in compliance as well as leading on advisory / indirect tax project work.
