Position: Consents Advisor (Land Access, Land Rights, Wayleaves)
Consents Advisor (Wayleaves / Land Access / Utilities / CPO / DCO)

£DOE + Car Allowance | Basingstoke

We're working with a major utilities and infrastructure provider who are looking for an experienced Consents Advisor to secure the land rights and permissions needed for essential network upgrades. This role requires someone who can manage their own patch, and confidently engage with landowners and stakeholders.

If you have experience in wayleaves, land access, land rights, utilities, property, rural surveying or infrastructure consents, this is an excellent opportunity to work on long‑term, region‑shaping projects.

The role

You'll be responsible for securing the consents required for survey and construction activity across the region. Your work will include:

Negotiating voluntary wayleaves, access agreements and permissions

Liaising with landowners, tenants, agents and local stakeholders

Managing objections and resolving concerns professionally and efficiently

Supporting the delivery of utilities and infrastructure projects, ensuring all consents are in place

Coordinating with surveyors, engineers, ecologists and contractors to facilitate site access

Preparing and issuing notices where required

Maintaining accurate land schedules, records and CRM updates

Contributing to wider consents processes, including elements linked to CPO, DCO and TWAO where relevant

Attending site meetings and representing the project with confidence

About you

You'll already understand land access and be comfortable working independently. Experience in any of the following is ideal:

Wayleaves, land access or land rights

Utilities, telecoms, broadband or energy

Property management, estate management or rural surveying

Landowner liaison or stakeholder engagement

Land referencing or permissions work

Exposure to CPO, DCO, TWAO or statutory infrastructure processes (desirable but not essential)

You'll be confident communicating with a wide range of people, comfortable travelling across your patch, and able to manage multiple live cases with accuracy and professionalism.

What's on offer

Competitive salary + car allowance

A stable pipeline of long‑term infrastructure projects

A supportive team that values experience and independence

The chance to work on meaningful, region‑shaping schemes
