Prospero Teaching is working with a well-established secondary school in Basingstoke who are seeking a dedicated Qualified Maths Teacher to join them from April 2026 on a full-time maternity cover contract. The school is rated Good by Ofsted (October 2024) and is known for its supportive leadership, strong outcomes, and well-structured Maths curriculum. You will be joining a knowledgeable and collaborative department with clear schemes of work, established routines, and a positive team culture.

• Teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4
• Deliver lessons aligned with the AQA GCSE curriculum
• Full teaching responsibilities including planning, marking, assessment, and reporting
• Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and moderation
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and student progress
• Work collaboratively within a supportive and experienced Maths team

• A fully qualified Maths Teacher with QTS/QTLS
• Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering AQA GCSE
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 in a secondary setting
• A committed classroom practitioner with high expectations of pupil achievement
• Someone who values teamwork and contributes positively to department culture
• A teacher seeking a stable, well-supported role from April 2026
