Teaching Personnel are seeking flexible, committed Learning Support Assistants to support SEN schools across the Basingstoke area on an ad-hoc basis. This is a great opportunity for those looking for varied day-to-day or short-term work while making a positive impact on pupils with additional learning needs.

You will support children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD/SLD, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties.

  • Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with SEN

  • Assist with daily classroom tasks and learning activities

  • Support pupils' emotional regulation and behaviour

  • Build supportive, trusting relationships with students

  • Adapt your approach to meet individual learning and sensory needs

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and the wider school team

  • Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable)

  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel)

  • Flexibility to accept short-notice bookings

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Competitive hourly rate of £13.75
