Overview
We run two Emergency Departments on two sites — The Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke and The Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester. We are renowned in the region for the excellent training and supervision we provide to our trainee doctors and in 2019 won the National Royal College of Emergency Medicine Award for Learning Environment of the Year.
The Consultant body has current RCEM examiners and a recently developed Clinical Educators programme. There will be a training and teaching package for all successful applicants and the organisation is happy to discuss flexible working arrangements; all requests for flexible and part time working will be considered.
The paperwork and recruitment process includes information about vaccination and safety policies, and how applications are managed through our third party system.
There is an opportunity to develop specific skills or areas of interest such as ultrasound, simulation, paediatrics and quality improvement amongst many others. There are established relationships with allied specialties and some experience with the CESR programme, and we would be very keen to support interested candidates to achieve Consultant level recognition from the Royal College via the CESR route.
Recruitment and Selection- Shortlisted candidates will be contacted at least 5 working days before the scheduled interview date.
- Applications will be submitted directly into our preferred third party recruitment system (Trac). All subsequent information regarding your application will be generated from apps.trac.jobs via email — please ensure to check your junk/spam folders.
