Sampler Technician

As a Sampler Technician, you will collect samples to and from the Caleb Brett offices in the southeast daily, as well as sampling petroleum and chemical samples from all stages of processing, both on and off-site at client facilities, by approved and agreed techniques when necessary.

Key activities:

• Carrying out sampling duties using approved techniques as directed
• Carrying out testing of required samples using approved techniques as directed
• Travelling to and from client/intertek facilities as required and collecting/transporting samples in compliance with road traffic regulations, back to the required locations
• Completing daily vehicle condition sheets
• Completing fleet sample collection logs
• Assist in maintaining sample retention stores in good working order
• The standard working pattern for this role will be Monday to Friday 06:00 – 18:00, split between two staff on rotation, with the requirement to work overtime occasionally

• To be considered for this position, you must hold a valid, clean UK driving license
• You will have excellent communication and customer service skills and be willing to learn about sampling and laboratory operations/standards for petroleum products
• Good IT literacy skills
• Ability to gain knowledge of sampling techniques, relevant laboratory operations/standards and properties of relevant petroleum products
• Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service
• Motivated, self-starter
• Encourage teamwork to support each other and our customers
• Willingness to learn and adapt, with a proactive attitude
