Manufacturing Process Engineer

A leading high-precision manufacturing group with operations in the UK and Europe is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join its Basildon site.

This role focuses on designing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. You will work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and external design teams to optimise workflows, support NPI, resolve technical issues, and drive cost-effective process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Support NPI activities and produce cost estimates
• Define tooling requirements for assembly and inspection
• Liaise with internal and external design teams to support DFM/DFMA
• Use ERP/MRP systems to support manufacturing processes

Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of machining processes, aerospace materials, and surface treatments
• Ability to work independently and challenge existing processes
• Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Computer literate;
  Lean, CAD, and 4/5-axis CNC knowledge desirable
